1. Pumps and Housings - Generally in a Sugar plant these parts are often heavily contaminated with oil/grease etc and can often be difficult to weld. Mac Cast E405 and Mac Cast E407 are both designed to overcome porosity and require minimal (if any) preheat.

2. Sprockets and Gears - Once we have established the base material, i.e. Cast iron or steel then we can proceed with the repair, for cast iron gear teeth we would recommend Mac Cast E407 and for steel Mac Trode E66.

3. Irrigation Tanks - These would normally be made from stainless steel in either ASTM 316 or ASTM 308 type. Mac Stain E100 ELC or Mac Stain E101 ELC would provide a corrosion resistant weld to either grade.

4. Aluminium Loader Arms - Readily welded using a gas rod or an electrode using Mac Alum G97 or Mac Alum E97 (DC output required for electrode).

5. Cart Bodies - A high strength repair, resistant to heavy impact and abrasion is achieved using Mac Trode E66.

6. Loco Tyres - When repairing worn loco tyres, it is important that the weld repair is not too hard, therefore we would recommend the use of Mac Hard E301 this will give a tough, impact resistant weld repair which will not damage other components. This is vital to the overall success of this operation.

7. Railway Frogs and Crossings - Most railway crossings are made from 13% manganese steel, by using Mac Trode E6130 we are able to replicate exactly the chemical composition of the original component, thus few if any metallurgical problems arise.

8. Bearing and Bushes - These are often a very expensive component and may on occasions be discarded without any thought of repair. By using Mac Bronze E809 (DC output required) these parts can be reclaimed very easily.

9. Springs - In the sugar industry the workload placed on springs is immense, it is very important that any weld repair is able to withstand these heavy loads. By using Mac Trode E66 any repair will be resistant to impact, friction, abrasion and corrosion under severe loading.

10. Cane Knives - To maintain and even extend the life of cane knives either Mac HSS E3062 or Mac Hard E304 can be used, with preference given to Mac HSS E3062.

11. Shafts - Shaft repair is a constant problem in the sugar industry. By using Mac Trode E66 an extended life can be achieved due to the resistance of Mac Trode E66 to heat, abrasion, friction and corrosion. Most important when repairing shafts is to ensure the correct repair method is used.

12. Crusher Roll (Build-up) - On cast iron crusher rolls, the most cost effective electrode is Mac Cast E407. This will give a sound deposit on contaminated cast irons with minimal or no preheat required.
破碎機輥（堆積-尺寸） - 在鑄鐵破碎機輥上，成本效益佳的方案之一是采用鎳鐵鑄鐵焊條Mac cast E407。這將在不需要預熱的情況下，在受污染的鑄鐵上形成良好的沉積物。
13. Crusher Roll (Hard Face) - Using a dot deposit technique Mac Hard E308 has proven to be a most successful alloy throughout the sugar industry, alternatives such as Mac Hard E306 can also be used.

14. Boiler House Tubes - Usually stainless steel, Mac Stain E100 ELC or Mac Stain E101 ELC are most likely to be used.

15. Evaporator Pans - Usually cast iron, a successful repair is achieved using Mac Cast E406.

16. Condensor Tubes/Copper Tubes - Repaired using a low temperature silver alloy for maximum capilliary action, the higher the % silver the more likely a successful long lasting repair is achieved, Mac Silver G5050 is a cadmium free alloy.

17. Stud Removal - For broken studs / bolts etc the cost of drilling, retapping is relatively cheap, however the time taken is not !! Mac Stud E73 allows the removal of studs and bolts with no damage to threads etc. A repair which would normally take hours now takes minutes !!
