市場的迅速擴展，迫使國外企業到國內來發展，切割機的價格也大幅度下降。90年代后期由于國產焊割設備質量已趨穩定，價格也較前幾年大幅度下降，因此已逐步取代了進口機。
隨著我國工業向現代化邁進，國內市場對焊割設備的需求逐年增大，加之國外發達國家由于已有大量焊割設備正在使用，故數控等離子切割機的普及受到一定制約，而我國焊割設備技術起步和應用較晚，形成供需缺口，導致我國焊割設備特別是數控等離子切割機的潛在市場巨大。
2.系統設計方案
2.1 方案背景
自動化焊接設備，也屬于機器人的一種，是為擺脫對人力的依賴性，提升工作效率，或是為了提高安全性而迎刃而生的新型設備；根據自動化程度，自動化焊接設備可分為以下三類：
一.剛性自動化焊接設備剛性自動化焊接設備亦可稱為初級自動化焊接設備，其大多數是按照開環控制的原理設計的。雖然整個焊接過程由焊接設備自動完成，但對焊接過程中焊接參數的波動不能進行閉環的反饋系統，不能隨機糾正可能出現的偏差。
